Scarcity of Resources and Money

Resources and money may be scarce thereby the need to look for a smart method or technique to be able to obtain an income. Scarcity leads to poverty and thus the need to look for methods to reduce poverty. How to go about luck, is by looking for resources. These can be used for a number of economic activities.

Economic activities create jobs like starting a business, or looking for a job, to get money to pay rent in affordable housing and various bills. Some people start a family business that employs lots of people for example Sols Inclinations and Staarab Lounges in the Embulbul area of Ngong which has a number of informal and smaller rentals.

The CBD has more opportunities with a number of Government Offices. The Government should effectively use the resources obtained in form of taxes and loans to build the Country so that there are sufficient opportunities mostly for the youth and women. There are also a number of SME’s and MSME’s in the CBD.

Poverty is present in urban and rural settings, and any age or gender. It is possible to provide hard-working people with opportunities to earn an income. In the work and job setting individuals gain experience, in employment that can be used if promoted or changing jobs to a different Organization. It is however good to save if the individual looses the job, still has some money to keep going until securing employment again.

A lack of education is stopping many Kenyan youth from living a worthy life, as many are stranded after high school. Not just the boys but also girls face this situation. For a Brighter Tomorrow

 Lack of jobs or limited opportunities also is another issue for those that manage to finish a tertiary education. Livelihood challenges is common for the Kenyan youth working for minimum daily wage, take to construction sites, and other menial jobs to be able to put a shilling in the pocket.

Lack of capital to start their own business is another issue with little or no financing options from banks and micro-finance institutions.

As the economy continues to grow more opportunities present themselves for skilled and semi-skilled workers while unskilled workers have limited opportunities.

The number of Universities and TVET’s are also increasing thus the youth get an opportunity for higher learning just job opportunities do not come fast enough for the learners.
