Scarcity of Money becoming an issue.
Scarcity of Resources and Money
Resources and money may be scarce thereby the need to look
for a smart method or technique to be able to obtain an income. Scarcity
leads to poverty and thus the need to look for methods to reduce
poverty. How to go about luck, is by looking for resources. These can be used
for a number of economic activities.
Economic activities create jobs like starting a business, or
looking for a job, to get money to pay rent in affordable housing and various
bills. Some people start a family business that employs lots of people for
example Sols Inclinations and Staarab Lounges in the Embulbul
area of Ngong which has a number of informal and smaller rentals.
The CBD has more opportunities with a number of Government
Offices. The Government should effectively use the resources obtained in form
of taxes and loans to build the Country so that there are sufficient
opportunities mostly for the youth and women. There are also a number of SME’s
and MSME’s in the CBD.
Poverty is present in urban and rural settings, and any age
or gender. It is possible to provide hard-working people with opportunities to
earn an income. In the work and job setting individuals gain experience, in
employment that can be used if promoted or changing jobs to a different
Organization. It is however good to save if the individual looses the job,
still has some money to keep going until securing employment again.
A lack of education is stopping many Kenyan youth from
living a worthy life, as many are stranded after high school. Not just the boys
but also girls face this situation. For a Brighter Tomorrow
Lack of jobs or
limited opportunities also is another issue for those that manage to finish a
tertiary education. Livelihood challenges is common for the Kenyan youth
working for minimum daily wage, take to construction sites, and other menial
jobs to be able to put a shilling in the pocket.
Lack of capital to start their own business is another issue
with little or no financing options from banks and micro-finance institutions.
As the economy continues to grow more opportunities present
themselves for skilled and semi-skilled workers while unskilled workers have
limited opportunities.
The number of Universities and TVET’s are also increasing
thus the youth get an opportunity for higher learning just job opportunities do
not come fast enough for the learners.
